Bangalore-based start-up Cooolio, a digital portfolio company, recently launched SavvyMob described as a mobile only distribution product developed for the Indian Millennial travellers, both business and leisure, who are looking for the best deals specially at the last minute
As to why Milleninals are the main target of this mobile product, Gappan Annamalai, COO and co-founder of SavvyMob, explained that not only do these travellers use smartphones and tablets for booking and buying services, but the user base of this group in India is huge – estimated at over 300 million.
He described this market segment as “tech dependent, social, price conscious and still not loyal to brands.“
Travellers can use the app to instantly buy hotel rooms, suites, fine dining, spa and many more deals at hotels across India.These deals are sourced directly by SavvyMob through hotel partners to ensure the best value for its customers.
“We help hoteliers target these Millennials through our mobile products, make them loyal hotel customers and also increase their overall revenues” added Gappan.
Hotels chains that are offering deals on this mobile platform include Alila, CGH Earth and Chancery. More hotels across India are expected to be available soon.
Hospitality merchants can also offer unsold inventory deals, upsells, cross-sells and target travellers before and during their journey.
